Sony has acquired Guerrilla Games, the developer of Killzone. Sounds like a similar move that Microsoft gave Bungie for Halo development support. Killzone 2, the sequel to the exclusive Sony Playstation 2 release, is in development for the Sony PS3. Guerrilla Games, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has been added to SCE Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS). Look for Killzone 2 on the PS3 and another Killzone on the Sony PSP in 2006.

So just a quick news bit that I'd like to share with all of you. After you shell out $400 for a Premium XBOX 360 console and another $59.00 for one game, don't worry about your low cash stash cause there are plenty of free downloadable demos to keep you busy straight through the New Year. I just finished downloading Kameo, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and NBA LIVE 06. Kameo is a blast and I'm sure the full game would be sweet but if you just want a taste for adventure check out this free demo. Now these demos are just the "pink spoon" not the whole sundae. If you want the whole sundae it's about $60 but enjoy these demos while they last.

Gamespot has put together a nice piece on how the quality of your Xbox games look on the Xbox 360. The main noticeable difference is the decreased "jaggies" on the edges of graphics. You get higher resolution and better anti-aliasing.
Microsoft plans on releasing updates via Xbox Live and is currently working on the next batch of compatible games. For a current compatibility list from Microsoft of Xbox games on the Xbox 360, click here. If there is a game you want that is not on that list, post your request here on this list in the Microsoft Xbox 360 Forum and let them know!

At 33 I thought I was reaching the brink of acceptable gaming reaction time. Barbara St. Hilaire is a 69 year old hardcore gamer. She spends Saturday afternoons in Wal-Mart test-playing Xbox 360s. "I'd kill for one of those," St. Hilaire says. Ahh... can't wait to kick back some hours on Halo 7. Retirement homes will never be the same.

Well it's time to pimp that NES. Well it's not as sweet as Rivithed's Xbox Mod but here's a good site to get started on modding your NES. Actually, there's some great tips on cleaning old cartridges that won't play and replacing a beat power supply.
