Hudson Entertainment President John Greiner speaks on how he became part of Hudson's gaming history in an interview on hudsonent.com. The interview touches on how he became the western voice of the Japanese company (also quite literally in the case of Y's), Hudson's mobile gaming push, the resurgence of Hudson's games and becoming a third-party developer for Nintendo.
"Hudson was the very first third-party developer and publisher for Nintendo. That took a lot of hard work," said Greiner. "You asked me earlier what was one of Hudson’s biggest contributions, well that was a big contribution: Getting Nintendo to admit third-parties for their platform. They were very much anti-third party."
Hudson Entertainment will be one of the first third-party developers/publishers to be releasing its games on Wii's Virtual Console, with Bonk's Adventure as one of the first games announced.

Part 3 coming soon!
What version of the Wii Controller is that?

The Xbox 360's Live Marketplace uses Microsoft Points as currency for purchasing additional content for Xbox 360 games. Microsoft makes it (too) easy for you to purchase items by using the point system to mask the actual cost of the purchase. Fortunately, Xbox Gamer "bigsteveouk" has created a "Unofficial Microsoft Points Converter" that will let you instantly get the points converted to currency for the United States, Great Britan, Europe, Canada, Australia and Japan.
Here's a sample of the cost (in US dollars) of getting all the downloadable content for Oblivion:
Horse Armor: 200 MS
Mehrune's Razor: 250 MS
Orrery Quest: 150 MS
Wizard's Tower: 150 MS
Thieves Den: 150 MS
------------------
Total MS Points= 900
Total Cost of Oblivion Content= $11.25

Yes you read correctly. President Bush got his nifty new Nintendo DS for his big 60th Birthday. Looks like the nice people at Nintendo are concerned with his Brain Age or they just wanted to send a nice token of appreciation for keeping their taxes low.
Check out the President's sweet bundle here. It's your birthday, go W! It's your birthday go W!

With the Wii in its final retail manufacturing run, it looks like the Wii could debut at retail anywhere between end of September 2006 to the beginning of November 2006 (as rumored from the Sports Illustrated Kids print), beating the Sony PS3's debut.
From CNNMoney.com: "While Nintendo has not made any formal announcements about the launch date for the Wii, most of the industry has expected the machine to hit retail at approximately the same time as Sony's PlayStation 3 (which is set for November 17). Now, industry observers - and insiders - say they expect the system to be available in October, with late September a dark horse candidate. Indeed, the company appears to be already manufacturing final retail units of the Wii, according to a June 21st analyst's note from P.J. McNealy of American Technology Research."
Nintendo has yet to officially announce Wii's launch details and dates. Read the full report here at CNN Money.

In no particular order, here are ten tips to help you get the most from your New Super Mario Bros. Nintendo DS game. Three of 'em will get you some fireworks (Happy 4th!).
Play as Luigi:
Hold down the "L" and "R" buttons at the "Select a file" screen when you are loading your game or creating a new game.
Get 5 "1-ups" on level one:
If you are running low on lives in later levels, go back to World 1-1. When you get the mega-mushroom 1/3 through the level, hold down the Y button and race through the level (don't worry, you're big enough to run over the holes!), destroying as many things (bricks and pipes) as possible all the way to the flag pole. Up to five 1-ups will drop down from the Mega-Meter on the top of the screen.
Summon the Red Toad House:
Jump on the ending level flag pole with "11", "22" or "33" as the last 2 digits on the countdown timer and the get the Red Toad House, where you can get a random power-up. This appears at the starting point of a world (easiest to do on World 1).
Summon the Green Toad House:
Jump on the ending level flag pole with "44", "55" or "66" as the last 2 digits on the countdown timer and get the Green Toad House, a great place to stock up on 1-ups if you are lucky at the random card game. This appears at the starting point of a world (easiest to do on World 1).
Summon the Orange Toad House:
Jump on the ending level flag pole with "77", "88" or "99" as the last 2 digits on the countdown timer and the Orange Toad House will appear, giving you a Mega Mushroom power-up. This appears at the starting point of a world (easiest to do on World 1).
Visit Mushroom Houses Anytime:
Complete every stage in the game to come and go into a mushroom house anytime.
Unlock World 4:
Defeat World 2's Boss as mini-mario using the "ground pound" attack (takes 3 hits) to take the alternate route to World 4.
Unlock World 7:
Defeat World 5's Boss as mini-mario to get the route to World 7.
Play "Challenge Mode":
Hit PAUSE while on the World Map and press the following button combination: L R L R X X Y Y. You will get a screen saying: 'Welcome to the secret challenge mode. Think you can reach the goal? If you get stuck, press START and choose Return to Map." This will put the game into a no-backtracking mode, challenging you to keep pushing forward on the level without having the option to turn around (left). An arrow indicator will appear on the lower touch screen, indicating the one-way level of gameplay. Don't worry, it won't stay when you save and re-start later!
Save anytime on the World Map:
Beat the end boss to have the option to save while on the World Map. Just hit the start button and the save option will be there.

In an interview at GameDaily with Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing SEGA of America, SEGA announced Sonic the Hedgehog (also coming to the Xbox 360) and Full Auto 2: Battlelines will be available at the PS3's launch.
Full Auto 2 may not be a PS3 exclusive and may come to the Xbox 360. From the interview:
BIZ: Full Auto was a 360 game, and now the sequel is a PS3 exclusive. Why is that if you're supporting all three [next-gen consoles]? Is it just perhaps an exclusivity window?
SS: We haven't announced a 360 SKU, so we're exclusive on the PS3 right now."
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz will be a launch title for the Wii. Virtua Fighter 5 will be available in March 2007 for the PS3.
