The Turok booth, encapsulated in a mysterious black dome, proved the next-gen game is still very much in a conceptual stage. The demoed video prohibited video or camera recording, as the artwork shown is far from production stages. The conceptual demo showed artist’s 2D graphic illustrations of what Turok could be. Gritty, explosive and tougher looking.

Nintendo Wii Creating A New Interactive Dimension E-mail
Nintendo News Bits
Written by Rivithed
Friday, 12 May 2006
Another surprise that came with Nintendo’s E3 press conference on the Wii controller is a speaker is built in the controller of the Nintendo Wii. The speaker helps immerse the player even more with sounds that typically would be heard closer to the player coming from the speaker, instead of from the TV or other audio sources further away. For example, in Zelda, when Link pulls back an arrow from his bow, you would hear the stretching and fling from the arrow on the Wii controller. A nice touch to put gamers closer in the interactive dimension.

Judging by the crowds lining up for nearly 2-3 hours to get play time on the Wii, it looks like Nintendo may be the next-gen console underdog.
