The grandpa of FPS, Wolfenstein 3D, turned 14 years old on May 5, 2006. Yes, before there was Halo, Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament and before there was downloadable demos on Xbox Live, there was a shareware hit FPS called Wolfenstein 3D. We know John Romero recently was caught in some heat over comments made to the modding community on the re-rating of Oblivion's modded content, but if it weren't for his gaming vision, we wouldn't have our Halos.

Game developer Auran will be releasing a new action oriented MMORPG that "takes the best elements of an MMO - combat, advancement and teamwork - and blends them with the best elements of an FPS - instant action".

"Fury is pure PvP - think WoW Battlegrounds and Guild Wars on steroids mixed with some Unreal Tournament and Battlefield 2. You get right into the action without having to grind and most importantly, your skill and knowledge are the greatest influence on how well you do, not just the color of your gear. – Adam Carpenter, Lead Designer
