Sony has updated its official Playstation web site and added a new page for the Sony Playstation 3 Console.
From the PS3 site: "Playstation 3 will change the nature of gaming and entertainment forever. Its CELL technology is the digital soul and delivers powerhouse, supercomputer-like processing power, unknown to today's machines. Blu-ray Disc ROM (BD-ROM) is the graphical heart that will provide entertainment content in full high-definition (HD) quality. It's a console that screams digital carpe diem and will redefine reality as you know it."
Hideo Kojima will be releasing a new chapter of Metal Gear Solid on the Sony PSP in 2007. Unlike the two previously released Metal Gear Ac!d games, this Metal Gear Solid chapter will follow the console storyline.

Big Boss and Solid Snake are main characters.
Third-person action game.
Control multiple troops in battle (squad-based play).
When ally soldiers die, they are gone for good.
WiFi battle mode.
Some sort of link option with Metal Gear Solid 4"
It is in its early stages of development, so this one may miss the E3 Expo next week.

You get right into the action without having to grind and most importantly, your skill and knowledge are the greatest influence on how well you do, not just the color of your gear. – Adam Carpenter, Lead Designer
