Patience is a virtue, PS3 owners. KOEI is setting back the release dates for its futuristic racer, Fatal Inertia, and its medieval strategy game, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, to Summer 2007.
“Both titles are taking advantage of new game engines and hardware. We are allowing our development teams additional time to further explore the capabilities and potential of each system by extending the product launches for a simultaneous platform release this summer,” said Amos Ip Senior Vice-President at KOEI Corporation.
We're always up for some fine-tuning game development, although the PS3's game drought has been undoubtedly tough to endure. Fatal Intertia was anticipated for February 2007 on the Playstation 3. Once a PS3 exclusive, the title will also be coming to the Xbox 360. Maybe KOEI decided to hold off the PS3 release until the Xbox 360 version was ready. Let's hope this delay proves worthwhile.
For those of you who have a shiny new PS3 and have been itching to lay waste to an opponents ribcage, I have a treat for you. PSU.com has put up the box art for the upcoming PS3 game, Virtua Fighter 5. For those of you with 360's, you can probably assume that the box will look like this only greener.
We've seen him in plenty of video game crossover promos (performing on Spike TV's Video Game Awards and Xbox 360's Game with Fame during Nacho Libre). What you may not know is that Jack Black promoted Activision's Pitfall when the Atari 2600 was all the rage. Like a miniature version of him in King Kong...
A playable demo of Crackdown will be available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace on Tuesday, January 23rd. The co-op demo will give Xbox 360 gamers a taste of what is to come on February 20th, the release date for Crackdown (featuring Halo 3 beta keys on specially marked boxes).
