One of the higher rated Nintendo DS games has gone missing. Konami's Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is out of stock at most retailers. Released a little less than a year ago in October 2005, Castlevania DS was the first entry of the Castlevania series into the DS world.
Here's the status, from several online retailers:
The "Buy Now" link from Konami's Official Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow page links to amazon.com, which has it listed as "used" for $49.95.
Gamestop does not list it new; used is backordered.
Best Buy is listing it as backordered.
Ebgames.com does not list it new; used is backordered.
Other major online retailers such as Target and Walmart are also showing it out of stock.
Used prices on eBay are going beyond the $34.99 MSRP. If you can find one, pick it up! It looks great on the DS Lite. Let us know if you are able to find it new somewhere.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is the next Nintendo DS Castlevania game scheduled to appear in October 2006 from Konami.
Update: You can get Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow here, directly from Konami's online store KonamiStyle.

LucasArts released more info on its follow-up Lego Star Wars game, this time about playable Star Wars vehicles.
From Jonathan Smith, director at TT Games: “We had three vehicle-based levels in the original game, and while they added some neat variety, they didn’t quite fit in with the rest of the gameplay,” says Smith. “We knew up front for LEGO Star Wars II that the universe of the Original Trilogy had a lot of fantastic ships and cool vehicles: the Millennium Falcon, X-wings, AT-STs, speeder bikes and so on. So we worked hard at the start to integrate them more effectively into the game.”
David Perkinson, producer at LucasArts says: “We’ve taken the vehicle levels off rails. Now you have a free range of movement in all directions, which enables you to fully explore a level and even come back to it later in Free Play mode with any of the vehicles you may have unlocked.”
Check out these screenshots from some classic Star Wars vehicles found in the game.
"LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy" is scheduled for all home consoles and PCs for a September 12, 2006 release date.

The Vice President of Creative Development at Electronic Arts and co-founder of Westwood Studios, Louis Castle, revealed in a podcast with Gaming Steve that "Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" will be coming to the Xbox 360.
Gaming Steve reveals that the upcoming Xbox 360 real time strategy game (RTS) The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II is the testing waters for C&C 3 on the Xbox 360: "I know for a fact that they are doing this because these are the same guys, the same team, who's doing Command & Conquer 3 and they're definitely going to release it for the 360, you heard it here," said Steve "and so what they are doing is they are really using Battle for Middle-earth II to sort of use it as a spring board to test, to see, how it is going to work for Command & Conquer 3."
A bit on Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars from EA: "It is 2047 and the stakes could not be higher. Tiberium-a self-replicating alien substance that has infected the Earth-is spreading like a radioactive ice age. The GDI, a high-tech alliance of the world's most advanced nations, is fighting to contain Tiberium, but Kane, the megalomaniacal leader of The Brotherhood of NOD has other plans for Earth. Kane's secret society turned superpower is bent on using Tiberium to take control and transform humanity into his twisted vision of the future. All-out war rages over Tiberium and the fate of the planet rests in the balance."
The PC version of C&C 3 is currently under development and scheduled for a 2007 release.
