Amazon.com is taking pre-orders on the Wii! Click the link below to secure your Wii pre-order! No crazy bundles required. $263.97 for next day delivery in US.

[EDIT 1 ]: Amazon has stopped taking pre-orders, before the end of the day. Not sure if they were allocated a certain number of units or why exactly they stopped. We will let you know if they will be starting up again or where else you can pre-order the Wii. Anyone here get a spot on Amazon?

[EDIT 2 ]: Several gamers have been able to place their pre-orders at the Nintendo World Store in New York. A full down payment is required and the store is in New York. Click here for directions and info on the Nintendo World Store.

[EDIT 3: 9-18-06]: The Nintendo World Store has filled up its spots for its alotted Wii consoles (about 400)! Read more on the report at Go Nintendo. Looks like this system is ripping through the pre-orders, so be sure to grab one as soon as you hear word! We'll keep you updated here on Gaming Bits when pre-orders for the Wii appear again. Post any leads below!

[EDIT 4: 9-18-06]: Read the official explanation on the suspension of the Wii pre-orders from Amazon.com here.

Yup-- they sold out at Amazon.com (at least of their launch shipment). Read more here. If you made the list, hang on to it! It looks like the Nintendo World Store in Ny is taking pre-order reserves as well!
