An official Sony Playstation Japan page confirms that the PSone's original rhythm hero is coming to the Sony PSP. No official word on a US release as of yet.
The screens on the web site make it look like an exact port from the PSone version, released about ten years ago. Hopefully it offers more extras from the original if this is a UMD game. Otherwise, it would make sense to release it on the PSP's PSone emulator coming later this year. Definitely unique for its time, the game is featured in a showing at New York's Museum of the Moving Image in its DIGITAL PLAY: RELOADED exhibit. Check it out if you are in the area. It's one of those unique gaming experiences you won't forget. It lead the rhythm action genre that would be later dominated by games such as Dance Dance Revolution. This is one of the last remaining PSone games I have in my collection.
