That's right boys and girls, the sequel to the strangest game on SEGA's Dreamcast is coming to the PS2. 1Up.com reports this announcement, made at a press event in Tokyo. SEGA made it public that Seaman 2 would be coming to the Playstation 2 next year in Japan. No mention was made of a release stateside, but of course we at Gaming Bits are always optimistic.
The original Seaman for Dreamcast was unique from other games on the system in that the game had you taking care of a virtual pet, which was half-fish and half-human through voice commands. The sequel has players taking care of a small Neanderthal-man who, according to the storyline, was cloned by Russian Entrepeneurs to be made available worldwide as a pet. Just as in the original, there will be a microphone (built into a controller) packaged with the game in order to communicate with your quasi-primate buddy.
