| 1 Million Wii Consoles For North America's Launch |

Ron Bertram, Nintendo of Canada Vice President and General Manager, has said there will be one million Wii consoles available in North America on launch date (November 19, 2006).
From Ron Bertram: "We’re hoping if you’re already an Xbox 360 owner and you want a new experience, that you’ll pick up a Wii this Christmas or maybe next year. If you’ve never played before, we think that this may get you hooked on video games. We’re looking at a million (units) for North America at launch. When Sony came out (with their PS3 announcement), they said 300,000. If we get what we’re supposed to get, this will be our most plentiful launch in the 15 years I’ve been at Nintendo. All signs are actually extremely positive." North America will be supplied with approximately 1.5 million to 2 million Wii units by the end of 2006.
