TotemBall is a new motion controlled game, a first for the Xbox 360, just released on the Xbox Live Marketplace today. The Xbox Live Arcade game is a free download, but it requires the Xbox Live Vision Camera. Controls should be familar to gamers who have used the PS2's EyeToy. You basically use both hands to direct your turtle character. Roll around on a ball to pickup objects while avoiding taking a spill in the water. You can pickup coins, bonus items and collect totem pieces (each one plays a musical instrument of the background music track). Pickup enough speed and you can skip across the water. Slow down and your turtle will sink. There's a learning curve to it, but mastering it is the tricky part. One cool bonus level, a little less nerve wrecking, is like a pinball game where you can smack your TotemBall around and rack some bonus points up. See a previous article and watch a video of TotemBall here.
