The much anticipated Wii console has finally been released today. The Toys "R" Us in Times Square and GameStop stores were among the first retailers to sell the Wii console starting at 12:01 am today, Sunday November 19th.

Nintendo held special events at GameStop at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles and at the Toys "R" Us in Times Square, New York City. Reggie Fils-Aime was the first to sell the Wii console at the Times Square location.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is receiving high ratings (see here on gamerankings.com), hitting several perfect 10's and averaging about a 97% rankings ratio.
