It's been quite a gaming weekend! We've managed to get our very itchy gaming fingers on two Wiis and a PS3 here at Gaming Bits, thanks to a non-chaotic pre-order from GameStop (congrats to GameStop for doing much better this time since the Xbox 360 launch!) and some luck at a Toys "R" Us store. Rivithed will be posting first day impressions on both the Wii and PS3 later today, in comparison to the Xbox 360 as well. OneOrbit shares his experience in tracking down a Wii and first Wii Sports impressions below!

OneOrbit Landing a Wii:
I took off Sunday morning at 8:30 am not really "looking" for a Wii but wondering how long the lines were. First I drove by Best Buy and the lines were long, too long. So I went to Target and there they had already passed out tickets to get a Wii and they were all out. So I proceeded to GameStop in the same mall and of course all systems were spoken for. Next stop, Einstein Bagels and keep in mind I'm toting my 4-year-old daughter as well. We get a bagel and I enjoy a hot coffee. Before we head home I swing back by Best Buy and the lines are gone along with anything Nintendo.

I promised my daughter I'd stop at Toys "R" Us and I thought in the back of my mind, maybe the Wii is there? Sure enough a line has formed only about ten deep. Hmmm. When do they open? 11am. Only an hour an a half to wait but I have my daughter with me. Thinking there is no way she is going to behave for an hour, I almost turned around but she freaked out and said I promised her I would take her. Perfect. I scored! continued...
