Right out of the box I began setting up my Mii character and that was so much fun I proceeded to set up a character for my 4-year-old daughter and then my wife. My daughter insisted on making her mom look just like her Mii character. My wife was cool with that. She said, "I'll wait until she goes to bed so I can make my "Mii" look more goth/punk and angst ridden. That's the cool thing about the Mii. It gives you a persona that is an animated version of yourself, so you really can have a lot of fun with it.

My first game was Wii Sports. Since I recently had a shoulder injury, it was great cause I was dying for some sports action. I shredded the tennis court like I was back in the 90's wearing my Agassi hot pink jersey. You can really work on your strokes with Tennis and I had a blast. I can't wait to party with some friends and bust this one out. Boxing was next. That was fun too, but I didn't have the nunchuk hooked up and played a whole game only throwing right jabs thinking, "what the f*%k, you can't use your left hand?" Note: RTFM OR PLUG IN THE NUNCHUK. That was pretty fun, needless to say I knocked two guys out with only my right hand. I can't wait to go back and use my left-right combos. Sweet.

Next up, Baseball. Baseball was fun. Strictly hitting and pitching and this is the first game my 4-year-old daughter was able to actually play. She can easily pitch the ball and actually had a few hits. I see a budding ball player. This will be fun once I train up the team.

Bowling was cool. The sound effects are right on and the action is easily and relaxing. A nice change of pace from GEARS OF WAR. I didn't play golf yet, I was worried because I just played Tiger Woods '07 and didn't think it would be fair to dish on Wii Golf at this time.

I have to say, Nintendo scored some points with me by including a nice well rounded game with a console. Something no system is currently doing and the Wii cost a lot less. The Wii was a breeze to setup, but a bit tricky getting to understand how to connect to friends. The buttons on the controller are a foreign setup for even hardcore gamers but I suspect the young ones will have it down in a Wii minute.

Rather than spending $1,500 on eBay trying to score a PS3, go pick a Wii up and buy the PS3 when they show up in stores at a normal price.
