Gamer Profiles:

PS3: Online ID & Skill Points
Very minimal information on your profile. Not much beyond an “online id,” “online name” and “about me” (which I couldn’t even find where to edit).

Thumbs Up: Not much to say here other than room for much improvement.

Thumbs Down: Skill Points (aka achievements) only viewable in games. Doesn’t feel like a community is there (maybe that’s because most of the PS3s in the world are on eBay!).

Wii: Mii
Creating and sharing your Mii persona is simple and fun. Your Mii person appears in other games, in the audience or as other players.

Thumbs up: Fun to create for all your friends. You can have up to 100 on your Wii. All the customization options creates a cool resemblance of you. Address book and messaging.

Thumbs down: Sharing your Mii persona isn’t too intuitive and requires swapping your Wii console code (friend codes). I don’t think I have the process down as of yet.

Xbox 360: Gamertags, Achievements and more

With achievements, gamerscores, gamerpics (customized with Xbox Live Vision Camera), games played and friends easily viewable, the Xbox 360 creates an addicting and competitive online gaming environment.

Thumbs up: Very addictive to rank up your gamerscore. Video chat with Xbox Live vision camera. Send pictures to friends (via Vision Camera).

Thumbs down: Rep Ranking system (five stars) virtually unnecessary. Gamerscore rigging can be abused by gamers by downloading and transferring saves (or buying services to increase it). Some achievements need to be better thought out by third parties.
