The Lost Planet Community has a featured interview with Lost Planet's Art Director, Takahiro Kawano, along with some rich screenshots and artboards. Kawano, who was responsible for the character design on Onimusha 1 and 3, shares his influences and inspirations, speaks on Lost Planet's visual style and provides an inside look at Lost Planet's concept art. Read up and get a nice behind the scenes look on how it went from concept to next-gen console, on the Xbox 360.
