If you are hoping to track down Nintendo's Wii at Best Buy, it looks like December 17th will be the day. From Best Buy's Retail Insider: "This upcoming week will supply all stores with additional units of the Nintendo Wii gaming system. All units which are delivered must be held until Dec. 17. Projected quantities are different for all stores and subject to change. (A minimum of 40 consoles is guaranteed)". The December 10th announcement goes on to point out why the Wii will be held in stock rooms until the 17th, mainly because it is the "last competitive weekend for holiday shopping." For Sony's PS3, Best Buy says "SCEA has made an announcement that no other units will be shipped in addition to units already being manufactured. Stores that do receive small shipments are not allowed to hold the units." So chances of finding a PS3 are going to be pretty slim, at least at Best Buy. With that word, who knows if Sony's one million PS3 mark will be met. Good luck finding one! We'll keep you posted on any additional news that comes through on where you can track a Wii or PS3 before Christmas. See the Best Buy Retail Insider at Go Nintendo.
