Ignition Entertainment has announced that it will be bringing its puzzle/action game to Nintendo's Wii. The game has had two releases on the PSP and Mercury Meltdown Remix coming soon to the PS2. The game is based around manuvering liquid mercury through hazardous levels using tilt controls, making it ideal for use with the Wii's motion controls.
From Ignition Entertainment's press release:"Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a puzzle game that challenges players to immerse themselves in a colorful world of sci-fi machines, crazy characters, and bubbling test tubes. Players take control of a liquid mercury ‘blob’, guiding it around traps, door switches, spikes, moving floors and other hazardous elements in order to complete the level." Mercury Meltdown Revolution for the Wii is scheduled to ship to North America in spring 2007. It'll be interesting to see if Ignition brings Mercury Meltdown to the PS3 and is able to use the SIXAXIS controller for tilt controls as well.
