Though disc formats aren't normally related to gaming, the recent HD DVD versus Blu-ray debacle has left a sting on the industry. Format has now become a major factor in which system people buy due to price, features, etc. Luckily, for those who have been left confused by this format war, Warner Bros. is planning to announce the introduction of the Total HD disc at Tuesday's CES show in Las Vegas. A report from CNET.com states that the Total HD is capable of holding information in BOTH the Blu-ray and HD DVD formats, thus eliminating any confusion. What this means for gamers is that format would probably become a moot point in the decision to buy a gaming console (when it comes to comparing what movies are available in which formats).
