There are those people who, while they respect the Xbox 360, find it a bit "stripped down" for an HD console. The lack of HDMI has hurt it a bit when those with 1080p sets come down to decision making. Also, the console has been touted as an all-around media machine, however the 20GB hard drive fills up quickly (especially if you make use of Xbox Live's Video Marketplace service). If what we have just seen is true, this could all change, truly putting the Xbox 360 near-par with the PS3 for functionality.
A report on Engadget (click here to see it) shows a picture of what looks like an Xbox 360 with an HDMI port. Though the source wasn't named directly, the article says it is someone close to Microsoft. The article also states that the upgrade, code-named "Zephyr" (the original Xbox 360 is named Xenon), would come with a 120GB hard-drive. This not only beats the PS3 by double, but also more than alleviates the complaints of many users of the Xbox Marketplace. The picture looks EXTREMELY realistic and if this is fake someone deserves the photoshop medal of honor. UPDATE 1.7.07: A video posted on YouTube shows more of an Xbox 360 with a HDMI port.
