| Sony Confirms European Playstation 3 Launch On Track For March 23rd |

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has confirmed the EU launch day for the PS3. European gamers will be able to purchase the 60 Gig model for 599 euros. The 20 gig model may be introduced at a later time, but won't appear at launch. In addition to the 60 gig PS3, the following accessories will be available:
- Sixaxis controller (49.99 euros)
From SCEE president David Reeves: "Following the hugely successful launches of PS3 in Japan and North America, we are absolutely delighted to be able to bring significant numbers of PS3 to the SCEE territories. To be able to launch with over 30 titles across every genre shows that this is our strongest launch line-up in the history of PlayStation, and is what PlayStation fans in Europe have been crying out for." Gripshift - Sony Online Entertainment Definitely a better lineup and selection than we had at launch in the US. Things have been pretty quiet for the PS3 in the States since the frenzy that happened during the PS3's launch week. Too quiet. Hopefully the month of March will bring some promising new PS3 titles to the States like Oblivion, Motorstorm and F1. With the Wii and Xbox 360 leading by months in Europe and slow PS3 releases in the US, we'll see if there will be as much fervor as there was during the US and Japanese launch for the PS3.
