LIVE Brings Xbox 360 Achievements to Games For Windows PDF Print E-mail

Xbox 360 gamers know how addictive Xbox 360 LIVE's achievements and gamerscores are. It's a feeling that sinks in everytime you are on another gaming platform. "I could be ranking up my achievements." Achievements have changed gameplay and give you the satisfaction that you've completed part of a game. PC gamers that have been feeling left out will be glad to know the Achievement system is coming to Vista's Games For Windows platform via LIVE.

In addition to using LIVE's text, voice and using your Xbox 360 gamertag, achievements will also be crossing over from the Xbox 360 to the PC platform. Halo 2 on Windows Vista will be the first PC game to get an achievement system. Shadowrun will soon follow, which will be among the first crossplatform playable PC/Xbox 360 game.

But the PC needs MORE games with achievements. Right now I only see 3 or so games with Achievements. Universe at War is great. KrS

I cant wait to get going on my pc games. The only reason i brought cod 4 for the xbox instead of my pc was the achievements and gamer score.

Can't you see that it is an advertisement campaign to encourage windows users to purchase a 360 and both games for pc and xbox. It money and thats it.

I totally agree with V good idea. I need to earn achievements to make me play the game more than the once.

I like that the score for PC and Xbox are combined. It's encouraged me to buy an Xbox 360.

PC games should not be included in the Gamerscore system, there should be a seperate system.
