Wii Play Web Site Live; Hits Streets In Time For Valentine's Day PDF Print E-mail

Nintendo's Official Wii Play web site is now live. Included with Wii Play (or with the Wii Remote) are nine mini-games you can play with your Miis (your friends!). The web site features instructions for each of the games, proving it's pretty simple to get into. From some early reviews seen, this looks like the kind of game that's good to do some social gaming with the Wii. It's a good introduction to the Wii for non-gamers too, like Wii Sports. Don't expect this game to hold your attention for too long if you are going at it solo. After all, they do pack in a Wii remote so you can play with someone else. What better week to release it than during Valentine's Day?

I had a chance to try it out at Nintendo's South Beach event. The Table Tennis was fun and the Shooting Range brought back memories of Duck Hunt days. At $49.99 and including the Wii remote, it's a game that is likely to appeal to many Wii owners.

Visit the Wii Play web site here.
