Playstation 3 owners rejoice! The console's first fighting game, Virtua Fighter 5, is finally here with rave reviews and high anticipation. Electronic Gaming Monthly gave it review scores of 10, 9.5 and 9.5, as well as bestowing it with Game of the Month honors, a Gold Medal distinction, and praising it as "the finest 3D fighting game ever created."
Two new characters join the fight in VF5; El Blaze, a Mexican wrestling champion who uses the Lucha Libre fighting style and Eileen, who uses "Kou-Ken", a Monkey Kung Fu style. An optional "commentary feature" has also been added to the game that allows you to hear a play-by-play of your match giving it a "broadcast feel" which, I'm sure, can get pretty old very quick. Either way, judging from the current library of PS3 games, this is definitely worth checking out by any PS3 owner who has worn out their Resistance: Fall of Man disc.
