A great action-RPG is destined for the Playstation 3, as early as tomorrow from your local retailers. The Playstation 3 release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion starts shipping today. PS3 gamers who have patiently watched along the sidelines of the previous Xbox 360 and PC releases of the title will finally get to experience the adventure firsthand on the PS3.
Further redraw distances (seeing more graphics from objects further away) have been one of the supposed advantages of the PS3 release. Bethesda has previously stated its aim is to give an equal gaming experience across all platforms. We'll see just how much the PS3 version differs, one year after the Xbox 360/PC release. Downloadable content will hopefully be coming to the PS3 version as well, but no official announcement on it as of yet. I'll be bringing you details on any notable differences from the Xbox 360 release, as I can attest to over 140 hours logged on it (which is much less than some other Oblivion fans)!
