Remember those hefty (and pricy) Neo Geo games? They will soon be available for download from the Wii Virtual Console Online Shop. IGN confirmed the impending release of Neo Geo titles in an interview with Ben Herman, president of SNK Playmore USA. While the pricing is yet to be confirmed, the price point for Neo Geo titles will be "just a little above the Super NES ($8) point." Games from Neo Geo will start appearing on the Virtual Console around mid-summer 2007. With the Metal Slug library of games pratically exhausted in the current Wii Metal Slug Anthology compilation, it's likely that other titles in the Neo Geo library will be released on the Wii Virtual Console. The lineup is likely to include a slew of 2d fighters such as Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown. For a full listing of Neo Geo game releases, see here.
