Latest TimeShift (Xbox 360) Screens Show Grittier Side; Countdown to Trailer PDF Print E-mail

Sierra picked up TimeShift from Atari nearly a year ago. Since then, there have been few updates and quite a bit of an extended time on the release. Here's some of the latest screenshots which show a darker, grittier look to the game. The demo from Atari, when the title was under their helm, in May 2006's OXM left many potential fans disappointed. Sierra and developer Saber Interactive have been putting renewed life into TimeShift. Michael Ironside (actor and of Splinter Cell voiceover fame) and Dennis Quaid are among the voice actors put in the project since Sierra took it over.

Features of TimeShift include:
- Stop, slow, and reverse time
- Rain effects add to gritty environments
- 9 weapons, each includes 2 functions
- 16-person multiplayer featuring 14 maps
- 6 multiplayer gameplay modes that include Stop the Machine, King of Time, 1-on-1, and the classic deathmatch / team deathmatch

A countdown to the trailer is featured on the homepage of Timeshift's official site, putting it at about 11 days from release at the time of this writing. TimeShift is scheduled for a Fall 2007 release for the Xbox 360 and PC.
