Nintendo's latest Pokémon release on the NIntendo DS, Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, have sold over 1 million in just 5 days. Nintendo notes that is a "faster rate than any previous Pokémon games since the franchise's U.S. introduction, almost a decade ago."
Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl features 100+ new Pokémon and supports wireless play with voice chat. The game also features touch screen interaction in mini-games throughout the adventure. All tap on the addictive nature on hunting and gathering that we all have. The Nintendo Wii release of Pokémon Battle Revolution, coming June 25th, will allow you to use the DS as a controller in the Wii title. Pokémon will be able to be transferred to the Wii game as well. Within just five days of availability, more than 1 million copies of Pokémon® Diamond and Pokémon Pearl for the portable Nintendo DS™ have sold in the United States since Sunday's launch; a faster rate than any previous Pokémon games since the franchise's U.S. introduction, almost a decade ago. To date, more than 155 million copies of Pokémon games have sold worldwide. Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl are poised to become two of the top-selling games of 2007 in the United States.
