Calling All Cars was just released on the PS3's US Playstation Store last week. Sony's Three Speech Blog conducted an interview with the game's designer, David Jaffe, during a recent Sony European press event.
Some interesting bits from Jaffe: - On the concept: "Originally, it was not going to be so much of a G-rated family game – it was going to be more of an X-rated, kind of cartoony Ralph Bakshei kind of thing," - On the name change: "Legal came back and said that we couldn’t use Crackdown. They never said this, but the assumption was because Microsoft has this game Crackdown." - On his future work (and future of Calling All Cars): "We’re in the design phase with numbers two and three right now." Read the full interview at ThreeSpeech.com. Calling All Cars has that quick to jump into arcadey feel, where the gameplay is all about the fun in the action and controls. The HD graphics/illustrations will make it easier for the younger generation of gamers to appreciate the gameplay without being thrown back to old school pixels of the 80's or 90's. Definitely check it out. A great deal for $10.
