Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow PSP UMD Demo In The Mail; Why Not In PS3's Playstation Store? PDF Print E-mail

Sony Playstation Underground members should be receiving a demo of Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow in the mail. It would have been nice if it was available for download from the PS3's Playstation Store. With PSone classics available for download from the PS3's Playstation Store, we should be seeing more PSP demos in there. Japan's Playstation Store has a PSP demo of "Sarugetchu: SaruSaru Daisakusen" (aka Ape Escape) online now. All you need to is select to download it and plug in your PSP to the PS3 with a USB cable. The demo is downloaded directly to your "Games" directory. Hopefully Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) will make PSP demos available in the US from the PS3's Playstation Store. God of War: Chains of Olympus would be a great place to start!

The PSP Syphon Filter Demo is fairly short, but features some nice CG footage and gameplay of the game's first mission.

Features of Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow include:
• Havok physics engine
• New and improved weapons, such as grenade launchers, sticky mines, smoke grenades, and flash bangs
• New character actions enable players to force enemies to take cover with “blind fire” or protect health with the new “human shield” features
• Underwater physics allows players to experience 360 degrees of water navigation to explore shipwrecks and target enemies with new underwater weapons like the bolt pistol and spear gun
• Improved buddy mechanics
• New mini game features, brand new to the Syphon Filter franchise.
• All new story written by Greg Rucka, critically acclaimed author of comic books and novels (Batman, Gotham Central, Queen and Country)
• All new sound track featuring award winning composer Azam Ali.
