Xbox 360 Code-named "Falcon" To Bring Xbox 360 Cost Cut and Heat Reduction |

The Xbox 360 will be getting a reduced size, and reduced heated, chipset later this year. Dean Takahashi, from The Mercury News, discusses the benefits that the reduced chipset will bring, including possible lower Xbox 360 price and reduced heating to avoid the "Red Ring of Death."
From Dean Takahashi: "Falcon is the name for the latest internal electronics in the Xbox 360. It will have an IBM microprocessor and an AMD/ATI graphics chip that are manufactured in a 65-nanometer production process. These are cost-reduced chips that do the same thing as their 90-nanometer predecessors, but they’re smaller.."

im thinking about buying next gen. had both xbox and ps2. Thought about a wii untill i saw nintendo are making no effort to devolop adult games for its console. Want the grown ups stuff (assassins creed, devil may cry etc) and not sure if PS3 or 360 is the way to go.
360's are notorious for failure and poor reliability. i cant afford to shell out 200+ quid for something that may break down. im going PS3. they dont have any nasty internal problems, you dont have to worry about which chipset you have and the blue-ray/chip setup mean that its potential is greater than the xbox. 360 may be winning now but developers will become aquanted with PS3 hardware. Give it 2 years and more complex, ambitious games will be too much for the chokey xbox to process without melting. PS3 seems the best investment, last longer, greater prospects | Damn
