Tonight's Microsoft E3 Press Conference: Updates Here PDF Print E-mail

Microsoft is holding its E3 press conference tonight, at 8:30 PM PDT. We'll be posting highlights here. Where can you keep up with the latest (besides updates here on GamingBits.com!)?

Latest Updates (in EST time):
11:39: Peter Moore announces all Xbox 360 games and demos shown at E3 '07 will be released before end of the year (with the exception of one., REvealed below).
11:40: Rock Band demoed with Peter Moore and Harmonix crew.
11:45: Mass Effect trailer shown. Coming to retail in November 2007.
11:48: Figures are discussed onsales. 2.4 billion has been spent on Xbox 360 hardware, software and accessories. 1/2 of consumer spending is on Xbox 360, "driving the industry."
11:51: GTA IV, Madden 08 and Halo 3 are the three key titles to drive the 360 this year.
11:53: Montage of games are shown, including Call of Duty 4, Lost Odyssey, Beautiful Katamari, Mass Effect, Fatal Inertia, Medal of Honor Airborne, Ace Combat 6, Guitar Hero 3, Assassin's Creed, Spider Man: Friend or Foe, Simpson's Game, Splinter Cell Conviction, Eternal Sonata, BioShock, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, Crash of the Titans, The Orange Box, Rock Band, Naruto.
11:56: A simplified Xbox 360 controller is introduced to be used with "scene it?"
11:58: Ubisoft's Naruto: Rise of a Ninja shown.
11:59: EA Sports 2008 titles will run 2x faster than previously. Madden 2008 demoed.
12:04: 7 million members on Xbox Live.
12:05 : Xbox Live Arcade will have more than 100 games before the end of the year. Bomberman Live, Undertow, Hexic 2, Sonic The Hedgehog, War World, Every Extend Extra Extreme, Feeding Frenzy 2, Track & Field, Golden Axe, Space Giraffe, Super Puzzle Fighter II HD, Marathon, Poker Smash, Switchball, Tetris Splash, Puzzle Quest among the Live Arcade games shown. Tonight Sonic The Hedgehog and Golden Axe will be released.

12:08: Disney movies will be available from the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Several available tonight in HD.
12:10: HD downloads will go global, in Canada and Europe.
12:11: Xbox 360 Elite coming to Europe on August 24th.
12:12: Shane Kim takes stage.
12:14: Project Gotham Racing 4 shown. Bike gameplay shown (see screens here). Latest PGR4 trailer shown. Coming September 2007.
12:18: Alan Wake, Too Human, Fable 2, Halo Wars in development for Xbox 360.
12:19: Lost Odyssey shown, coming exclusively to Xbox 360. New trailer shown.
12:21: Games for Windows titles announced: Viva PIņata and Gears of War announced.
12:22: CliffyB comes on stage to talk Gears of War for PC.
12:23: In Gears of War PC, 5 new single player chapters, new multiplayer mode and new achievements will come. Brumak battle too! CliffyB is playing the Brumak battle. Coming in Holiday 07.
12:26: Games For Windows Live supported by SEGA, Eidos and THQ. Also in Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3.
12:27: Games For Windows titles shown: Flight Simulator X: Accelerations, Thrillville: Off The Rails, Hellgate: London, Age of Empires 3: Asian, Stranglehold, Gears of War, BioShock, Crysis, Universe at War: Earth Assault, Blacksite Area 51, World In Conflict, Conan, Lost Planet Extreme Condition, Kayne & Lynch, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.
12:30: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare shown, coming to Xbox 360 and PC.
12:32: Infinity Ward team takes stage to demo Call of Duty 4.
12:38: Exclusive to Xbox 360: Online Multiplayer Beta for Call of Duty 4 (check charlieoscardelta.com).
12:39: Grand Theft Auto IV trailers previously released were taken from real-time footage on Xbox 360 GTA IV. Two new exclusive chapters coming exclusively to Xbox 360 release.
12:42: To come in 2008, new Resident Evil 5 footage shown. New Resident Evil 5 trailer will be available for download on July 26.
12:44: Assassin's Creed playable demo shown. Available November 2007.
12:50: Halo 3 Special edition Xbox 360 Console announced. Coming in September 2007.
12:56: New Halo 3 trailer and single player campaign gameplay shown.
