Wondering why Unreal Tournament 3 was not present during Microsoft's E3 presentation? As Peter Moore stated at the beginning of the Microsoft E3 Press Briefing, all games shown during the presentation will be coming out on the Xbox 360 before the end of the year (with the one exception of Resident Evil 5, which was shown). Midway Games and Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced that Unreal Tournament 3 will be exclusive to the PS3, and PC, for 2007.
"The game takes full advantage of the power of the PLAYSTATION 3 system, and Unreal Tournament 3 will for the first time allow users to create robust user created content, known as "mods", on the PC version and play them on the PLAYSTATION 3 system. We're extremely excited about this and we feel this will bring a level of creativity, innovation and replayability not previously seen on home consoles," said Mark Rein, vice president and co-founder, Epic Games.
