Sony Computer Entertainment New Zealand marketing manager, Warwick Light, has divulged a bit more on the rumored upcoming Playstation 3 digital tuning and recording capabilities.
Speaking to New Zealand's The Press, Light stated "We're also hoping next year – about the same time that Freeview launches its terrestrial broadcasting service (expected to be in March) – to release a digital tuner for the PS3, turning it into a programmable TV recorder." No official word or details on plans for the US. Could larger PS3 harddrive configurations be in the works for 2008 to support the digital recordings? We'll keep an eye on developments.
