Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is only a couple of months from release on the Playstation 3. The official PS3 box art (below) has just been released, as we wait for the disc to go golden. As Insomniac Games wraps up their development of the "second generation" PS3 game, they've opened a new R&D section on their web site.
The "R&D" section on Insomniac Games' web site is to support PS3 development on the CELL processor and RSX. If you're interested in hearing some tech-heavy talk such as "Curved Surfaces on the RSX, Dynamic SPU Code, Multithreading Optimization Basics by Example and Gameplay Architecture for Performance," head over to InsomniacGames.com (hint, hint Rockstar). An engine director sent out a little quiz to the fellow Insomniac crew to find a bug in SPU code. Check it out to see the kind of stuff they are dealing with. I'll stick to enjoying the box art and screenshots of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction!
