Bungie reports in for another Halo 3 weekly update. Here's a summary of what is revealed: Halo 3 is in its final testing stages, being "roughly 99.9% complete." We're nearing the magic gold date... The Halo 3 Epsilon is confirmed and details of it are discussed a bit. "The Epsilon is a closed, final phase testing for Halo 3. We won’t be making the Epsilon available for public consumption, so while that’s immensely disappointing for folks hoping that Friends and Family invites would be extended for the Epsilon, just know that each day you wait in agony is another day closer to September 25," said Luke at the Bungie update page. Included in Halo 3 Epsilon was "Forge," a multiplayer map creation mode where up to 8 players can play around in. The three beta maps along with Last Resort and Sandtrap were also playable in Epsilon. A single player mission, Tsavo Highway, was also playable. Halo 3 was put on an IMAX screen for the Microsoft and Bungie crew at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. Bungie's lead database programmer, Roger Wolfson, introduced details of the "Bungie Pro" file sharing subscription plan. "..custom game and map variants, screenshots, saved films and film clips can all be uploaded to your personal (but public) file share on our servers. The current plan is that everyone with a copy of Halo 3 and an Xbox Live Gold account gets 6 slots where you can place up to 25MB of these files to share with the world. Saved films take up the most space, and 25MB should be enough to hold several longish 16-player games," said Roger. If you're looking to collect plenty of kill films or try your hand at some Red vs. Blue-inspired flicks, you'll need more storage space. Bungie Pro is a one-year "subscription" for 750 Microsoft Points ($9.37). That gives you 24 slots and 250MB of storage space of a year. You'll also be able to share movie files (not viewable online, however) via Bungie.net, allowing you to queue up a film download for the next time you connect to Live from your Xbox 360. Screenshots are viewable online and can be saved as wallpaper. There's some additional screenshots of Tsavo Highway and the newly revealed Narrows multiplayer map, which takes place on a Forerunner bridge. Check out the image below. Be sure to check out all the details from Bungie.net. As a bonus for making it this far in this Halo 3 update and proving your unrelenting thirst for Halo 3, there's also a rumored leak of the Halo 3 Instruction Manual, which you can take a peek at here. Hmm...
