The next Xbox 360 version of Geometry Wars won't be hitting the Xbox Live Arcade, but will be included in the upcoming release of Project Gotham Racing 4. After all, the addicitive shooter did begin as a mini-game in the garage of Project Gotham Racing 2.

From Console Monster:"Geometry Wars: Waves is based on the Live Arcade release Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved but isn't a direct sequel and won't join Retro Evolved on the Live Arcade."

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is currently available for download from the Xbox LIve Arcade or in the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged retail release.
