Cyborgs, both good and evil, are on their way to the Wii Virtual Console with these SEGA Genesis releases. Crack Down (unrelated to the Xbox 360 game, although somewhat similar in its description) and ESWAT: City Under Siege are coming soon. Crack Down has previously been released in Japan and the UK on the Wii VC. ESWAT: City Under Siege is based on the arcade game, ESWAT: Cyber Police, which I was hooked on back in the 90s.
Here's a description from SEGA:
ESWAT: City Under Siege - Welcome to the city of Liberty, which is teeming with crime and lowlife scum. As a member of the Cyber Police force, it’s up to you to clear the streets of all the bad guys and make life safe for the law-abiding citizens of the city. Since your body is part mechanical, you have a variety of weapons and armor at your disposal, and you’ll need all of it as you patrol various parts of the city, including a restaurant, stadium, boat dock, and more. Take down the baddies, beat the nefarious bosses, and return sanity to the streets of Liberty! We'll let you know once the cybernetic crime fighting is unleashed on the Wii Virtual Console. Expect 'em for 800 Wii Points ($8) or less.
