Here's the latest ViDOC (aka Video Documentary) from Bungie for Halo 3. This video is about Halo 3's
"Saved Films" and "Forge" features. Saved Films will allow you to record Halo 3 gameplay moments, using the game's engine. It's not an actual movie file in the way we are accustomed to. As Frankie at Bungie.net explains it: "Saved Films are simply game data. The advantage of course is their size. A ten minute 1080p film would be hundreds of megabytes. But a Halo 3 saved film which will play back at that resolution, is just a few Megabytes. This makes them simple and quick to transfer and share." Game moments, once just a memory, can be saved and used for bragging rights. Bungie has really released the controls to players, allowing things such as fly-through cameras, speed-control and controlling the UI display. In addition to recording gameplay footage, there's also screenshots you can take, which can also be viewed on Bungie.net. Check out the ViDOC below for a demonstration of what you can do with Saved Films and the Forge feature, then go to Bungie.net to read up on the details. The Halo 3 Cinema Paradiso ViDOC is also available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
