A sequel to THQ's Saints Row (Xbox 360) is in the works for the Xbox 360 as well as Playstation 3. Today, THQ announced that Saints Row 2 will offer a "fully transformed city and true open-world online multiplayer."
From the announcement: "Developed by THQ's critically acclaimed internal studio Volition, Inc. using their proprietary open-world engine, Saints Row 2 will offer vastly expanded customization options, a totally transformed and expanded city of Stilwater, all new vehicles, sandbox tools and toys as well as both online co-op and competitive multiplayer."
New vehicles will include boats, helicopters and planes. Saints Row 2 is estimated for release on the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 in 2008.
