SEGA's Samba de Amigo Coming To Wii PDF Print E-mail

SEGA Dreamcast's maraca-shakin' rhythm game is headed to the Nintendo Wii. Samba De Amigo will be getting a revival on the Wii, oddly by Brothers In Arms developer, Gearbox Software. Word comes from a recent issue of Nintendo Power's November 2007 issue, via Nintendo enthusiast gaming site, Codename Revolution.

The game originally came with a set of plastic maracas that would not only detect the shakes, but the position (high, medium and low) of the maracas. Sounds like a perfect fit with the Wii remote. Wouldn't it be cool if two Wii remotes were used, with the Wii remote speaker emitting maraca sounds? Yeah, don't know of the possibility of that happening, but we'll see more soon. I distinctly remember Chumbawamba "Tubthumping" in that game. We'll see if the track listing stays the same!
