US Playstation 3 40GB Shows Up In Target Store Scan PDF Print E-mail

Here's another source listing the upcoming stock of the US Playstation 3 40GB model, packed with Spider-Man. We're assuming it is Spider-Man 3, since it's showing an in-stock date of 10/28/07, very close to the 10/30 release of the Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray (as well as the Spider-man 3 DVD and the Spider-Man High Definition Trilogy Blu-Ray).

The UPC code shown matches that of the UPC that showed in the Best Buy stock listing earlier this month. That's UPC Code 711719800606, which shows up in the UPC database and confirms it is indeed the SCEA SONY PLAYSTATION 3 40GB. We already know the PS3 40GB exists for Europe and Japan, so it's only a matter of when SCEA announces it, for $399.

See more shots of the UPC and inventory screen below.

UPDATE: Below are a couple shots taken at a local Target store, where the UPC reader confirms, yes, the Playstation 3 40 GB is coming for $399.99. Thanks EDFACTOR and Bryan!

UPDATE (10/18/07): SCEA has confirmed the 40 GB PS3 for release on November 2nd for $399 and the 80 GB PS3 gets reduced $100, from $599 to $499. Read more here.
