Time to update your PSP system software! Sony released a new, if minor, firmware update for the PlayStation Portable. There's only one feature addressed, and that's support for PSN games on the PSP.
New to firmware 3.72:
- Support for PlayStation Network titles has been expanded.
Use your PSP to get the update by going to Settings -> Network Update. The update should be available online eventually from Sony's PSP System Update webpage. Visit the official PSP System Update page here to download firmware update 3.72 to your computer.
UPDATE 12/12/07: Sony Japan released details on what is coming to Firmware 3.80 on the week of December 17th. Read the details here.

Now listen carefully, you must download both files. The first one would have a file starting with 14678, unzip it, and there will be a Update file. Hook up your PSP and go the game folder, if you don't have one make one but make sure it is Capital letters. Now drag the Update file into the game section. Now part 2,download the second file, it says EBOOT_1.5 when you download it. Change it to UPDATE, this is the most important part, you must change it. Now go to the GAME folder in your PSP, which is in the Memory Stick. Remember where you put the folder named UPDATE now put that second file inside of there. IT MUST BE IN THE FOLDER. Now you are set, open your PSP and go to GAME and go to MEMORY STICK, and click the file UPDATE, and it will have a black screen, and agree to the conditions. and after 2 minutes, you are done, you have downgraded to 1.50.
