The 40GB Playstation 3 console bundle is now available for $399.99. Included with the 40GB harddrive PS3 is the Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray disc movie. Don't forget that if you buy a PS3 before January 31, 2008, you can get 5 additional Blu-ray movies for free. If you're not a gamer, this is a great deal for entry into HD movies. Having both the Xbox 360 HD DVD player and the PS3 Blu-ray player, I can tell you the Blu-ray gets most of my HD play. While the visual quality between both formats isn't significant, there is a wider selection of Blu-ray rentals available at local Blockbuster stores. But then again, the Transfomers movie isn't available on Blu-ray, if that makes a difference to you.

The 40 GB Playstation 3 Spider-man 3 bundle is available online from retailers such as Gamestop and Amazon.com.

The PS3 40GB has 2 USB ports, 2 less than other models on the market (although not a big deal really) and doesn't support PS2 game compatibility. Here are the specs on the Playstation 3 40GB model:
