MCV revealed earlier this morning that Sony will be releasing a newly redesigned Playstation 2 sometime after the new year. The "Compact" PS2 will retail for $99 (a $30 drop from its current $129 ) and feature a built-in power supply. Other than that no other changes to the current design were mentioned, including any changes in color, size or new features. Also, MCV didn't state a source for the information so this may be fully or partially false altogether. We'll make sure to let you know what happens if any new information emerges.
