Rock Band may be in low supply this holiday season, according to Electronic Arts' CEO John Riccitiello. Sure, this news is coming from the publisher itself but if you're set on getting Rock Band for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or PS2 in 2007, you may as well secure your order now with an in-store or online pre-order.
From the GameDaily report: "[Riccitiello] said that even though they've got "a lot of inventory," he's not anticipating EA/MTV being able to meet demand here or in Europe this calendar year or even this fiscal year through March. The game, which retails for $169 on Xbox 360 and PS3 (it ships on PS2 for $159 in Dec.), is "one hot product", said Riccitiello. He advised consumers that unless they "wait in line outside their favorite retailer" on November 19, they're going to have a very hard time finding the game this holiday season." If you're planning on getting it on launch day, Monday the 19th of November for the PS3 or Xbox 360, get there early. No word on any planned midnight launches, but we'll post any updates. Pre-order Rock Band online from Amazon.com (no tax helps on this bundle, about $15 for overnight shipping in US): Xbox 360 ($169.99), Playstation 3 ($169.99), PS2 ($149.99 on Amazon.com).
Or from GameStop (will cost an additional $19.99 in shipping +regular shipping charges): Xbox 360 ($169.99) From GameDaily
