Today, Harmonix and MTV Games announced the pricing of the "first wave" of downloadable songs for the upcoming release (11/20/07) of Rock Band for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Tracks will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network from day one of Rock Band's release, with weekly releases to follow. The good news is you'll be able to select individual songs for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360). The 3 song bundle packs will go for $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points), a .51 cent break (or 40 Microsoft Points, if that matters to you!). Hopefully you secured your pre-order, because from the looks of things at GameStop and Amazon.com, pre-ordering is history. Best Buy will be having a midnight launch for Rock Band.
