Capcom Shoots Down Rumored RE5 and DMC4 Demo On Resident Evil Extinction Blu-Ray PDF Print E-mail

It sounded like a promising idea. Now it's just too good to be true. There were rumors throughout the 'net that the Blu-ray release of Resident Evil Extinction (coming January 2nd), would include a playable demo of Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4. Capcom shot down the rumor today via the Capcom Unity Blog.

From the blog: "Some reports are saying that the disc will contain “two video game demos (for “Devil May Cry 4? and “Resident Evil 5).? This is unfortunately incorrect: the disc actually has hi-def trailers for both of those games, not actual playable code."

Well, it was a good thought and hopefully Sony can take a hint and think about doing it in the future. The only thing I can recall that was close was the PSP UMD movie release of Stealth including a mini-game of Wipeout Pure.

Shot down.

I am really looking forward to both those games (more RE-V)

I am pretty sure I will be buying RE-Extinction on Blu-Ray
