Good news for Playstation 3 gamers this holiday season. Unreal Tournament 3 has been confirmed for a December 10, 2007 release date by Midway Games and Epic Games today. Back in October, Midway Games wasn't anticipating the release would make it in time for a 2007 release, yet Epic Games did say they were aiming for December 2007. Midway does note that "limited quantities" will be available on December 11th.
From Midway: "Midway Games Inc. and Epic Games today announced that the PlayStation® 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is scheduled to ship to retail outlets in North America on December 10th. It is expected to begin arriving in stores in limited quantities the following day, with a U.S. suggested retail price of $59.95."
That's good news for the Playstation 3, especially since Ubisoft's Haze UPDATE: Midway responded that the limited quantities on December 11th are "due to shipping, some stores receive product earlier than others." Unreal Tournament III doesn't have a strict street date, so like some of the other recently released PS3 games, it will be sold by retailers as it is received. Midway also confirmed that there won't be a Playstation 3 collector's edition.
