Here's a little report from the closed Playstation Home beta front. A new build (for those in the closed beta) is now available. Features of version 0.7.7 include the ability to place your own pictures in your Home, access to your Home's patio, the ability (soon) to launch games from Home and the movie theater moves to the first floor. In addition, Home regions get their own server (America, Japan and Europe).
The public beta for Playstation 3's Home should have been available by now, but at Tokyo Game Show 2007, Kaz Hirai announced that it would be delayed for further testing and refinement. The last we heard on it from TGS 2007: "PLAYSTATION Home, a 3D on-line user community service, is currently under development to be launched in spring 2008." The PS3 Home Beta Sign-up remains quiet.
